Joshua Zilke is President of Benco Construction. He leads construction operations across the Southeast, driving growth, improving execution, and supporting the company’s vertically integrated development platform.

Zilke brings over a decade of experience in the construction industry, with expertise in large-scale multifamily, student housing, and senior living projects. Before joining Benco, he served as Vice President at Harkins Builders Inc., where he led operations in the Carolinas and Central Virginia and helped grow the region to more than $150 million in annual revenue.

He is a licensed professional engineer and general contractor in North and South Carolina. He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering and Management from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering as a Via Scholar, and a graduate certificate in real estate development from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Zilke’s project portfolio includes Springhouse Square, Hazel Southpark, Junction 49, and Arden at Indian Land. His work has been published in the Journal of Management in Engineering, reflecting his dedication to advancing best practices in construction leadership.

Peter Moody serves as a Business Development Executive at Benco Construction, where he focuses on relationship development, market outreach, and growing the firm’s pipeline across key Southeast markets. He brings a strong technical foundation from six years at Harkins Builders, where he advanced from Project Engineer to Business Development Associate and supported a range of multifamily and commercial projects.

Peter began his career in hands-on construction roles, gaining practical experience in site work, residential building systems, and project coordination. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University.

Babacar Diouf serves as the Vice President of Benco Construction in North and South Carolina. He has over 14 years of experience in construction and preconstruction across diverse market sectors, including multi-family, healthcare, transportation, and industrial, working for companies such as Walsh Group, Graycor Construction, Samet Corporation, and Kaufman Lynn. Over the past five years, he has been involved in the construction of over 2,500 units.

Babacar holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Daniel serves as the Vice President for Benco Construction in Florida. He has ten years of experience in project management, working in multi-family construction for various General Contractors. Before joining Benco Construction, Daniel was a Project Manager for companies such as Suffolk Construction, Case Contracting Company, and ATC Group Services throughout central Florida. Before starting his construction career, Daniel worked as an environmental scientist with the Southwest Florida Water Management District, where he provided inspections, monitoring, and reporting services to the State of Florida.

Daniel has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science from the University of South Florida, an MBA, and is certified as a Project Management Professional.

Peter heads Benco’s Preconstruction department. He has over ten years of experience estimating for developers and general contractors developing multi-family housing. He manages the process to optimize value, developing project standards, identifying ways to eliminate cost overruns, and reducing waste in product design. Before joining Benco Construction, Peter worked for Wood Partners, developing the budget for over 5,000 units.

Peter received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Colorado State.

Beck serves as the Quality Control Director for BenCo Construction. He has 25 years of experience as a superintendent, safety manager, and quality assurance for several general contractors. Project types during this period included commercial, multi-family, hospitality, military, and institutional while working with Lend Lease, Frampton Construction, and Speegle Construction. Prior to this time, Beck was the owner and project manager for a commercial casework and millwork company that manufactured and installed the products in and around the Charlotte Metro area.

Beck has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
